Liquor Licenses on Tap at Selectmen's Meeting
The board will discuss additional liquor licenses.

The Danvers Board of Selectmen’s agenda for its Tuesday meeting includes a healthy dose of alcohol.
The meeting, which starts at 6 p.m., includes multiple agenda items devoted to alcohol:
The board will discuss what to do with the six additional liquor licenses as well as another license that was formerly held at 65 Newbury St. The Legislature enacted a law that gave Danvers six more liquor licenses. State law bases the number of liquor licenses a community gets on its population, which can hamper towns like Danvers that are small but have a healthy restaurant scene. The selectmen will discuss what to do with the additional licenses. There are two agenda items pertaining to the all-alcoholic license currently held by Steven P. Tedesco. Tedesco hopes the board approves his sale of the license to Osborn Tavern, which is located at the former Maple Street Tavern. There is a second agenda item about whether to suspend, revoke or limit in any way Tedesco’s license. T&J Oriental Inc., which operates the new Blu Karma, is seeking an addition of cordials/liqueurs to its wine & malt license. In addition to alcohol, the selectmen will: discuss the process for recruiting a new town manager and the selection of a seven-member screening committee; hold public hearings on a new manager/change in officers at two local eateries; and vote on two one-day wine & malt licenses for the Danvers Senior Center.
