Male Charged With Stealing Nintendo Wii Remote From Walmart
The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from March 31 - April 2.
Sunday, March 31
- 9:12 p.m. Report of a larceny at Chuck E. Cheese's. Police said a cell phone was stolen.
- 11:51 p.m. A caller reported a dog was hit and appeared to be deceased on Route 128 South at High Street. Police said the report was unfounded.
Monday, April 1
- 5:58 a.m. Report of a break-in to a motor vehicle at 107 Locust St. A laptop was taken.
- 6:51 a.m. Report of a break-in to a motor vehicle at 3 Huron Ave. A cell phone was taken.
- 7:59 a.m. Report of a break-in to a motor vehicle at 10 Riding Club Rd. A wallet was taken.
- 8:51 a.m. Report of a stolen motor vehicle at 127 Locust St. Police say they believe the theft and car break-ins are connected and are investigating the incidents.
- 12:02 p.m. Police received a report of a hit-and-run car accident on Route 114 near Grassfields.
- 1:04 p.m. Police received a report of suspicious activity at Planet Fitness. A female said she was being followed. No further details were available.
- 6:58 p.m. Michael Silva, 49, of 75 High St., Gloucester, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. He was charged with one count of shoplifting.
- 11:26 p.m. An officer responded to a Water Street home for a well being check and ended up making an arrest, according to a log entry, but no further details were available at the time.
Tuesday, April 2
- 7:50 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident on Watson Parkway. Police said a vehicle struck a light pole, but there were no injuries reported.
- 2:28 p.m. John Mello, 20, of 31 Gardner St., Peabody, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. Police said Mello allegedly stole a Nintendo Wii remote and he was charged with one count of shoplifting.
- 3:37 p.m. Joshua Manning, 24, of 8 Green St., Danvers, was arrested after an officer served him with a warrant at the DoubleTree Hotel.
- 3:52 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run accident at the post office on Conant Street.
