Man Arrested for Alleged Heroin Theft in Danvers
Gloucester man arrested in Marblehead for stealing heroin in Danvers.

A Gloucester man who allegedly used a gun to steal heroin from two acquaintances in Danvers was arrested in Marblehead on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
Matthew R. Kuch, 25, of 338 Main St. in Gloucester, was arrested on numerous warrants relating to the alleged Danvers incident as well as a charge of possession of a Class A drug out of Marblehead.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, Marblehead police were advised that Kuch might be a passenger in a red Ford Ranger headed toward Marblehead.
According to Danvers police, Kuchs had been using cocaine and heroin with two other people when he pulled a black handgun from his waistband and demanded the rest of the heroin, about six grams worth.

However, there were conflicting reports about whether Kuch showed the gun, according to police.
After getting the alert about Kuch, Salem police spotted the Ford Ranger driving toward Marblehead with three people inside. The person in the back of the vehicle appeared to be ducking down, according to Salem police.
Police pulled the car over in the Maple Street area and arrested Kuchs on the warrants and the drug charge.
Danvers police were called in to interview Kuchs, who was then transported by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department to the Middleton House of Corrections.
