Motorcyclist Injured in Morning Crash on Elliott Street

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from May 18-20.
Saturday, May 18
- 4:03 a.m. Report of a person lying in the road on Pine Street. Police said a 21-year-old Danvers man who lived nearby was placed into protective custody.
- 6:25 a.m. A caller on Massachusetts Avenue reported a driver's side car mirror was smashed.
- 10:28 a.m. Report of someone fraudulently using a credit card to make a purchase in Florida.
- 10:53 a.m. Report of vandalism to a motor vehicle at the Danvers Senior Center.
- 4:42 p.m. A female guest at the Extended Stay Hotel reported she was taking a nap in her room when she was awoken by voices nearby. She said she heard a door shut and then discovered that some money was missing from her room.
- 11:05 p.m. Report of malicious damage to a motorcycle at a Riverside Avenue apartment.
Sunday, May 19
- 4:36 a.m. Jamiel Williams, 22, of Lawrence, was arrested, following a report of a suspicious person at the new Ira Toyota building on Route 114. He was charged on a warrant out of Salem District Court.
- 12:08 p.m. Report of a theft of a car radio at an address on Route 114. No further details were available.
- 7:40 p.m. Report of suspicious activity at Avalon Danvers involving a person who possibly had a gun tucked in a waistband. Police checked the area, but did not find anything suspicious.
- 8:19 p.m. Chelsy Ferro, 19, of 16 Herbert Ave., Peabody, Nicole Ferro, 23, of the same address, and Christy In, 19, of 263 Lowell St., Peabody, were all arrested, following a report of shoplifters at Walmart. They were each charged with one count of shoplifting.
- 10:53 p.m. Gina Smith, 28, of 6 Dyer Ct., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a domestic incident at her residence. She was charged with domestic assault and battery.
Monday, May 20
- 7:11 a.m. Report of a theft of copper pipes from Cell Signaling Technology on Trask Lane.
- 8:32 a.m. Police responded to an accident on Elliott Street involving a car and a motorcycle. Police said the motorcycle was heading west toward Danvers when the bike was cut off and struck by a car coming from the opposite direction and taking a left-hand turn onto Route 128 North. The motorcycle operator was taken to Beverly Hospital for non life-threatening injuries and the other female driver was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
- 10:02 a.m. Report of an assault at Radius Healthcare in which a family member hit a patient. No further details were available.
- 3:19 p.m. Report of an assault at a home on Fellows Street. No further details were available.
