No Injuries In Danvers House Fire: VIDEO

Firefighters were able to wake them family and get them to safety as the fire consumed their garage.

DANVERS, MA -- Danvers Firefighters are being credited with saving the main structure of a house at 23 Lafayette Avenue and a family that was sleeping inside the home when a fire broke early Friday morning. A fire fighter and police officer pounded on the door of the home after a neighbor returning home called 911.

Fire fighters were able to wake the two adults and child inside and put out the fire. While a car, the garage and breezeway of the home sustained heavy damage, the main part of the house was saved. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire and focusing on tree clippings and fertilizer that wer being stored next to the garage.
