Peabody Women Charged for Cemetery Flower Thievery

Two Peabody residents are charged with larceny for allegedly stealing potted pansies from two grave sites at a cemetery in town.

If you recall, last week we reported on an incident at a cemetery in town where someone was caught stealing flowers from the grounds.

It turns out there were two females involved in the thievery -- a 46-year-old and an 18-year-old -- both of whom are from Peabody.

Danvers Police Sgt. and spokesman Robert Bettencourt said they were each issued a court summons on a charge of larceny under $250.
