Plummer Youth Promise Hires New Director of Development and Communications
Salem Resident, Erin Truex Named To Role

Plummer Youth Promise, setting a standard of excellence that improves outcomes for young people in or at risk of entering state care, has hired Erin Truex as Director of Development and Communications.
In her new role, Truex will lead the development of and oversee a comprehensive annual program to increase philanthropy by soliciting support from individuals, family foundations, private foundations, and corporations, while collaborating with the Board of Trustees, its Advancement Committee, and the Executive Director to leverage their skills and capacities as appropriate. This critical funding will supplement Plummer’s government and earned revenue. In addition, she will help the organization complete its $25 Million capital campaign to evolve its campus facilities to meet the needs of today’s youth.
“Making sure we have the funding we need to deliver the best programs and services to the children, teens, and young adults that we serve is critical to our success,” said Nicole McLaughlin, Executive Director at Plummer Youth Promise. “Erin has the experience needed to make an impact and I look forward to her contributions to our team.”

“I’m very excited to join the team at Plummer Youth Promise,” said Truex. “My goal is to build on Plummer’s existing plans to raise the financial and in-kind support that will sustain the organization at an exciting time of capital expansion and the need to increase fundraising to support its clients.”
