Police Arrest 4 for OUI and a 'Bottle Bomb'

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from April 12-14.

Friday, April 12

• 8:10 p.m. Police received a report of a female being assaulted at AMC Loews Movie Theatre. No further details were available.
• 8:16 p.m. Stephanie Walters, 43, of 181 Hale St., Beverly, was arrested, following a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Endicott Street near Matty's Food & Spirits. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense) and reckless operation of a vehicle.
• 9:29 p.m. Police received a report of beer thrown from a car on Lindall Street.
• 10:08 p.m. Report of malicious damage to a home on Pine Street. Police said a window was shattered.
• 10:49 p.m. Report of a "bottle bomb" at a Park Street home.
• 11:17 p.m. Police received a report of a prank at Taco Bell. Police said someone threw food at the restaurant.

Saturday, April 13

• 1:40 a.m. Bailey Potter, 21, of 14 Chevalier Ave., Danvers, was arrested, following a well being check in the area of Franklin and School streets. Potter was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
• 1:55 a.m. Samantha Mahan, 21, of 110 Centre St., Danvers, was arrested, following a motor vehicle accident on Water Street near Sam & Joe's. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
• 12:23 p.m. Some hypodermic needles were found on Dayton Street.
• 3:44 p.m. Report of credit card fraud at a Hobart Street apartment.
• 4:10 p.m. Report of a man who urinated on a lawn at the corner of Elliott Street and Congress Avenue. Police said the man was gone when they arrived.
• 8:17 p.m. A 74-year-old Danvers man was placed into protective custody, following a report of an intoxicated person at Motel 6. A female caller said a motel guest was harassing her.
• 9:25 p.m. Karen Anderson, 45, of 113 Forest St., Danvers, was arrested, following a motor vehicle accident on Forest Street. Police said she hit a parked car. Anderson was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense).

Sunday, April 14

• 3:49 p.m. Police responded to a report of a domestic assault at a Sylvan Street home in which a son allegedly attacked his mother. Officer Paul Tansey arrested a 16-year-old male on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
