POLICE LOG: 85-Year-Old Danvers Man Charged With Drunk Driving

At 9:04 p.m., police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting involving three suspects.
Wednesday, Jan. 29
At 1:15 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Newbury Street. There were no injuries.

At 2:27 p.m., police arrested Richard Putnam, 85, 5 Coolidge Road, Danvers, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense). Police responded to Locust and North streets about a motorist stuck on a snow bank. Police arrested Putnam.

At 11:22 a.m., an officer spoke to a motorist on Charter Street who was parked in a crosswalk.
