Police Log: Driver Charged With Drunk Driving for Fourth Time

Friday, Sept. 5

At 6:32 p.m., police received a call from Walmart about a shoplifting. Police took a report.

At 5:57 p.m., police responded to Stop & Shop about an attempted theft of beer. Police took a report.

At 6:44 p.m., police received a call from the Liberty Tree Mall after a license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

At 8:16 p.m., police placed an intoxicated 42-year-year old Peabody man into protective custody.

Sunday, Sept. 7

At 1:37 p.m., police received a call about a shoplifting at Walmart. Police took a report.

At 4:06 p.m., police responded to the Mobil station on Endicott Street about a stolen cell phone.

At 7:45 p.m., police arrested Arlenys Almeida, 18, 117 Congress St., Salem, and charged the person with shoplifting by asportation.

Monday, Sept. 8

At 8:08 a.m., a Barbara Road resident reported someone stole cash from a wallet in a motor vehicle.

At 8:19 p.m., police arrested Brian Sewall, 64, 37 Boston St., Salem, and charged him with shoplifting by asportation (third offense). Police made the arrest at Kohls.

At 8:50 p.m., police received a call about counterfeit money at Walmart. Police took a report.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

At 8:25 p.m., police arrested William Pratt, 48, 95 Middle St., West Newbury, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (fourth offense) and a marked lanes violation. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Elliott Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

At 11:03 p.m., police arrested Jonathan Alequin, 27, 621 20th Street South, Lacrosse, WI, and charged him with armed assault to murder, carrying a firearm without a license and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. Read more about the arrest here.

Thursday, Sept. 11

At 9:02 a.m., police responded to Econo Lodge after a TV and Wii were taken. Police took a report.

Friday, Sept. 12

At 1:01 a.m., police arrested Amanda Herrick, 33, 6 Yale St., Danvers, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense), a marked lanes violation and a traffic light violation. Police made the arrest after a report of an erratic driver on Conant Street.

At 2:06 p.m., police arrested Gina Wright, 28, 20 Jordan St., Beverly, and Amanda Bard, 28, 130 Neptune Blvd., Lynn, and charged them on warrants. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Independence Way.

At 2:31 p.m., police arrested Dennis Giles, 63, 127 Pine St., Danvers, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest at Union Hospital.
