Police Log: Malden Man Charged With Shoplifting

Tuesday, Aug. 19

At 9:10 p.m., police arrested Kevin Darosa, 31, 20 Rich St., Malden, and charged him with shoplifting by asportation. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Walmart.

Wednesday, Aug. 20

At midnight, police arrested MIchael Merandino, 62, 94 Boston St., Salem, and charged him with disorderly conduct and evading taxi fare. Police made the arrest after responding to a call to assist a cab driver on Sylvan Street.

At 5:51 p.m., police received a call after someone broke a window at the Econo Lodge.

At 9:44 p.m., police placed an intoxicated Danvers resident into protective custody after a report of a fight at Plains Park.

Thursday, Aug. 21

At 6:47 a.m., police arrested MIchael Cross, 25, 70 Centre St., Danvers, and charged him on a warrant.

At 9:53 p.m., police received a call from Extended Stay Inn about a lost suitcase.

Friday, Aug. 22

At 7:16 a.m., police responded to Danvers Indoor Sports after tools were stolen. Police took a report.

At 10:38 a.m., police arrested Meghan O’Brien, 25, 180 Newbury St., Danvers, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and speeding. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Route 128 North.
