Police Make Arrest in Connection With Early Morning Stabbing
Stabbing victim was a 32-year-old man.

UPDATED: A 30-year-old Washington, D.C., man was arraigned on charges of assault with the intent to murder. and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, in connection with an early morning stabbing in Danvers.
Noel Mazariegos, 30, of Washington, D.C., is accused of stabbing a 32-year-old man about 1:30 Tuesday morning, according to authorities. Police did not release the victim’s name, or his condition. He is expected to survive.

K-9 Echo Locates Man Wanted for Stabbing in Danvers
The suspect, who fled on foot, was captured about 5 Tuesday morning by Trooper David Nims and K-9 Echo, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

Trooper Nims deployed Echo on a track. After tracking through a parking lot, over a snow bank, Echo located the suspect, according to state police. He was taken into custody without incident.
Mazariegos was arraigned on Tuesday in Salem District Court. He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Monday, March 9, according to authorities.
