Police Nab Women for Shoplifting Spree at Neighboring Malls

Police arrested two women (one from Danvers) for stealing nearly $400 in clothes from Kohl's only to find another $400 in stolen merchandise from the Northshore Mall inside their car.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers police log from Thursday through Monday.

April 7

  • A 15-year-old female was arrested at a Conant Street apartment, following a report of a domestic fight at 8:39 p.m. The teen was charged on two counts of domestic assault and battery. There were no injuries.
  • Kymberleigha Thomas, 43, of 4 Mill St., Peabody, was arrested at Target, following a report of a shoplifting at 9:06 p.m. Police said three cell phones and three battery chips were stolen. Thomas was charged with shoplifting and on two warrants – one for motor vehicle violations and the other for drug possession.

April 8

  • A motor vehicle accident with injuries near CAB Health & Recovery Services was reported at 6:56 a.m. No further details were available.
  • Kimberly Davis, 35, of 4 Emily Ln., Danvers, and Kimberly Burke, 34, of 18 Watson Hill Rd., Raymond, N.H., were both arrested, following a shoplifting incident at Kohl’s at 10:08 p.m. Both women were charged with larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property over $250. Police said $380 in clothing was stolen from the store; one of the women stuffed merchandise in her purse and the other paid for some items before they headed to a car in the parking lot. Officers arrested the pair outside and reportedly discovered more stolen clothing (from the Northshore Mall and valued at more than $400) inside the car.

April 9

  • Nicole Slattery, 35, of 25 Ellsworth Ave., Beverly, was arrested on Route 114, following a motor vehicle stop at 3:27 a.m. An officer on patrol noticed Slattery’s car speeding and weaving between lanes and pulled her over into the Burger King parking lot. She failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and a marked lanes violation. Police said she was driving more than 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.
  • A 19-year-old North Reading female was issued a court summons for shoplifting, following an incident at Claire’s Boutique in the mall at 3:24 p.m.
  • A 16-year-old Peabody male was arrested for shoplifting, following a theft at Target at 6:19 p.m. The teen was charged with shoplifting and illegal possession of a knife. Police said he stole Nintendo Wii remote controllers, but the knife was his – carrying it, however, is in violation of a town bylaw.
  • Joshua Everhart, 24, who is homeless, was arrested at Motel 6 on two warrants from Gloucester District Court at 9:08 p.m.

April 10

  • A caller on Charter Street reported someone smashed a car window at 11:28 a.m. Nothing was stolen and police suspect it was an act of vandalism.
  • Eric Nichols, 31, of 180 Newbury St., Danvers, was arrested on Route 114, following a motor vehicle stop for allegedly speeding at 7:45 p.m. Police said Nichols was going more than 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was charged with speeding, driving with a revoked license and in an unregistered vehicle.

April 11

  • Tracy Larocque, 40, of 48 Essex St., Beverly, was arrested at a Collins Street residence, following a report at 2 a.m. of an unwanted female guest, who was intoxicated. Police said she continued her abusive behavior upon their arrival, arguing, yelling and swearing at officers and disturbing the peace. Larocque allegedly began throwing various objects, according to police, and fighting with the officers, one of whom was knocked down in the course of the scuffle. Larocque was eventually subdued and charged with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
  • Charles Parry, 63, of 6 Random Lane, Andover, was arrested at Motel 6 for indecent exposure, following a report from the motel manager that Parry was walking around the motel fully nude around 6 a.m. See .
  • A caller at Auto Industrial Machines on Riverside Avenue reported malicious damage to the business at 6:32 a.m.
  • Employees at CAB Health & Recovery Services reported finding some pills at 1:35 p.m. and they didn’t know who they belonged to. Police recovered the Neurontin pills and destroyed them.
  • Police responded to a report of larceny at Auto Zone at the mall at 2:45 p.m.
  • A larceny was reported at the Sunoco gas station on Route 114 at 5:22 p.m.
