Police Offering Self-Defense Class for Women

The class will be held at Danvers High School beginning in March.

DANVERS, MA - The Danvers Police Department is offering a Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.) class for women beginning on Tuesday, March 8.

The class will be held at Danvers High School on March 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

R.A.D. is a comprehensive, women-only course that covers awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance then proceeds to hands-on defense training.

The class is taught by Danvers police officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. instructors.

There is a limit of 25 participants for the class.
