Reports of Assaults, Drunks, Fireworks, Drugs and Dynamite During Festival
The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from July 3-5.
Wednesday, July 3
- 1:24 a.m. Report of a gunshot in the area of Calumet Road. Police checked the area and said the call was unfounded.
- 7:29 a.m. Report of a dead fox on Dayton Street. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
- 10:52 a.m. Report of a larceny at the post office on Conant Street. Police said copper downspouts were stolen.
- 11:59 a.m. Police were dispatched to Motel 6 and reported finding heroin in one of the rooms. No further details were available at the time.
- 4 p.m. Plains Park was opened to the public for the fireworks festival.
- 4:11 p.m. A truck backed into a light pole at Plains Park. Police said there were no injuries.
- 7:16 p.m. Report of a car accident at Walmart with personal injuries. No further details were available.
- 8:12 p.m. A 50-year-old Ipswich man was placed into protective custody, following a report of an intoxicated person on Porter Street.
- 8:21 p.m. A 24-year-old Haverhill man was placed into protective custody, following a report of another intoxicated person at Plains Park itself.
- 8:37 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person at Holten-Richmond Middle School.
- 8:45 p.m. Report of a car accident on Liberty Street with personal injuries.
- 9:22 p.m. Report of fireworks on Porter Street.
- 9:24 p.m. Report of fireworks at the corner of Damon and Porter streets.
- 9:27 p.m. An intoxicated person was transported to the hospital from Plains Park.
- 9:30 p.m. Report of fireworks on Sheffield Road.
- 9:32 p.m. An intoxicated person was transported to the hospital after suffering a head injury at Plains Park.
- 9:38 p.m. An intoxicated person was transported to the hospital from Lane Parkway.
- 9:40 p.m. Report of an assault that led to an eye injury at the Holten-Richmond Middle School.
- 9:48 p.m. Report of people trespassing at the Dunkin' Donuts on High Street.
- 10:02 p.m. Report of drug activity -- someone using marijuana -- at the corner of Damon and Park streets. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything.
- 10:03 p.m. Report of an assault and theft of a cell phone at the middle school.
- 10:43 p.m. Report of fireworks at the Lawrence Street Playground. A caller said there were quarter sticks of dynamite. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything.
- 10:44 p.m. Report of fireworks on Porter Street.
- 10:57 p.m. Report of fireworks on Porter Street.
- 11:07 p.m. Report of men jumping on cars on Elliott Street near Route 128. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything.
- 11:14 p.m. Adam Trocki, 32, of 20 Water St., Danvers, was arrested, following a call for medical aid on Mill Street. Police said someone was kicked in the head. Trocki was charged with disorderly conduct.
- 11:38 p.m. Report of fireworks on Porter Street.
- 11:47 p.m. Report of fireworks on Bradford Road.
Thursday, July 4
- 12:56 a.m. Report of fireworks on Holten Street.
- 6:49 a.m. Report of a break-in to an apartment on Holten Street.
- 10:41 a.m. Report of malicious damage to a home on Liberty Street. Police said a fence was knocked down.
- 11:56 a.m. Report of a larceny at an Abington Road home.
- 12:04 p.m. Report of a break-in to a car on Abington Road. Police said it was unclear what was stolen.
- 1:12 p.m. Report of malicious damage to a vehicle on Maple Street. Police said a dart was stuck in a truck.
- 5:26 p.m. Report of a possible attempted break-in at a Lindall Street home.
- 9:01 p.m. Report of fireworks on North Street.
- 9:14 p.m. Report of fireworks on Porter Street.
- 9:37 p.m. Report of fireworks on Apple Tree Road.
Friday, July 5
- 12:07 p.m. Report of a larceny at a Locust Street apartment.
- 2:16 p.m. Report of a three-car accident on Route 128 South with personal injuries. State police handled the accident.
- 4:04 p.m. Report of an attempted larceny at the Knights Inn. Police said someone tried to steal some motorcycle keys.
