SCOPE of Pain Seminar

For Medical Professionals on Prescribing Opioids

Medical professionals are invited to join SCOPE of Pain on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 11:30am-4:00pm for a seminar designed to help them safely and effectively manage patients with chronic pain, when appropriate, with opioid analgesics. This training is based on the FDA curriculum known as the Blueprint for Prescriber Education for Extended Release and Long-Acting Opioid Analgesics. The curriculum covers all aspects of this blueprint and more to provide a comprehensive educational program. The seminar is taking place at the Doubletree by Hilton Boston North Shore in Danvers and is ideal for physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists.

This SCOPE of Pain presentation is provided by Boston University School of Medicine, with local partners Healthy Gloucester Collaborative, Be Healthy Beverly, and Danvers Cares, in partnership with The Lynn, Salem, Peabody Collaborative, and New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. National collaborators include the Council of Medical Specialty Societies and the Federation of State Medical Boards. The program cost is $25.
