TV Thievery and a Baby Born at Water Street Apartment

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from May 12-13.
Sunday, May 12
- 5:33 p.m. Stephanie Powers, 45, of 1 Purchase St., Salem, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Best Buy. Police said two phone devices valued at $100 were stolen. Powers was charged with one count of shoplifting.
- 10:13 p.m. Police responded to 65 Water St. #2 for a medical aid call. Police said a baby was worn in the apartment and the family was then transported to the hospital.
Monday, May 13
- 2:49 p.m. Police responded to a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. An officer said store employees believed the man was trying to steal a TV, while the man said he was actually trying to put it on layaway. The man was escorted from the property by police and issued a no trespassing order.
- 3:15 p.m. Report of a larceny of televisions from a barn at St. John's Prep. No further details were available.
