Victim Locks Herself in Bathroom While Man Breaks Into Apartment
A 22-year-old Danvers man allegedly broke into an apartment while the resident locked herself in the bathroom. Police said it was a domestic situation and the man is charged on several counts.

A Danvers man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly breaking into a downtown Peabody apartment while the resident was still home and stealing some items.
According to Peabody police, it was a domestic situation, and the female resident locked herself in the bathroom during or after the man broke into the apartment.
Kenneth M. Hayes III, 22, of 35 Collins Rd., Danvers, was charged with breaking and entering for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $250, larceny over $250, two counts of domestic assault and battery and possession of a Class A drug.
Police said keys and a laptop computer were stolen.
