What's Open, Closed In Danvers On Christmas Day

We have everything you need to know, including the trash pick-up schedule for the holiday week.

DANVERS, MA -- Tuesday os Christmas and Danvers Town offices will be closed all day for the holiday. Trash will be picked up on Monday. For the remainder of the week, there will be a one-day delay (Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday).

Here's a list of what else is opened and closed on the holiday (and check out our guide to area restaurants that are open on the holidy). This list is ever-expanding so feel free to shoot us a note or comment below with more intel.

  • Schools: Closed
  • Libraries: Closed
  • Post Office: Closed
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas Stations: Open

Here's where it gets tricky. Many restaurants, retail stores, and grocery stores will be closed, but not all. Here are some details on a few to get you started:

Retail stores:

  • CVS
    • Christmas Eve: Most stores open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Christmas Day: Most stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excludes stores inside Target).

Supermarkets:

  • Shaw's/Star Market
    • Christmas Eve: Most stores typically close a few hours early
    • Christmas Day: Closed
  • Trader Joe's
    • Christmas Eve: All stores close at 6 p.m.
    • Christmas Day: Closed
  • Whole Foods
    • Christmas Eve: All stores will have limited hours. Hours vary by location.
    • Christmas Day: Closed.
