Woman Arrested on Warrants, Drug Charge After Report of Fight at Motel

Police say a 23-year-old Hanson woman had more than 100 prescription pills in her pocket when she was taken into custody and was wanted in Boston on several other drug charges.

Danvers police responded to a report of a fight inside a room at Motel 6 early Friday morning and ended up arresting one woman after officers discovered she had multiple warrants out for her apprehension. It turned out she had more than 100 prescription pills in her pants pocket as well.

Danvers Police Sgt. Robert Bettencourt said officers arrived to the scene shortly after 6 a.m. and found four people inside the room, but all denied there was a fight. One person was left with a bloodied face, however, he said.

Upon running a check for warrants on any of the individuals, police discovered one woman had three, all out of Boston for drug charges.
