2-Alarm Fire Requires Help From 5 Other Departments
Fire officials said it started in the basement's mechanical room as a result of an electrical issue and took two hours to put out.

DEDHAM, MA — Firefighters put out a two-alarm fire at a two-and-half-story house with a wooden frame.
The fire started around 1 p.m. on Thursday. at 218 Lowder Street. Fire officials said it started in the basement's mechanical room as a result of an electrical issue before it spread. The fire took two hours to extinguish, fire officials told the Boston Globe.
A babysitter and child were home during the fire, but fire officials said no one was hurt. It's too early to give a cost estimate on damage.

Firefighters from Westwood, Quincy, Boston, Norwood, and Needham helped douse the flames.
