4 Establishments Get Liquor License Suspensions For Compliance Check Failure

But they won't have to stop serving alcohol if they remain violation-free.

DEDHAM, MA — Four establishments that failed a compliance check were issued liquor license suspensions, but they won’t have to stop serving alcohol if they remain violation-free.

Wednesday night, the board determined that Aquitaine, Legal C Bar, Showcase Cinema De Lux, and Victory Grill all served an underage operative alcohol on June 26. All four were issued a three-day liquor license to be held in advance, meaning that if they do not commit another violation for a year, the suspension will be dropped.

During the September hearing, none of the establishments denied the facts presented in reports from the Dedham Police Department. At the same meeting, Selectman Dennis Guilfoyle said they do the checks to make sure everyone is on their toes in case an underage person attempts to purchase alcohol.
