4th Annual Literary Legacy Scholarship Competition at Legacy Place
The Literary Legacy Scholarship Competition at Legacy Place returns for the 4th year in a row, now accepting applications.

Legacy Place is thrilled to announce the return of the Literary Legacy Scholarship Program for the fourth year in a row. The program invites local high school students to hone their journalism skills and compete for one of three scholarships (One $1,000 award and two $500 awards) by interviewing a business at Legacy Place and writing a 400-word article or blog post about what they learn. The scholarship competition is open to any junior or senior attending a high school located within a 10-mile radius of Legacy Place in Dedham.
Students participating in the competition will be paired with a participating businesses within Legacy Place, such as L.L. Bean, Roster, Madewell, Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio, Whole Foods Market, King’s, Wicked Restaurant & Wine Bar and Williams-Sonoma. Once the student is matched with a business, they will interview a member of the management team to discuss topics for the article and determine which is best suited for their article or blog post. Ideas include business trends, promotional efforts, a fashion or food trend or an upcoming event. Approved articles will be posted to LegacyPlace.com and evaluated by five judges for creativity, journalistic quality, use of photos and videos, and promotional efforts.
To participate in the scholarship program, students can apply via the Legacy Place website at www.legacyplace.com/info/literarylegacy through March 1, 2016.
