5 Things to Do This Weekend: May 4-6

Dedham Country Day's Circus and Street Fair highlight the slate of things to do this weekend in Dedham.

 

It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Dedham Patch is coming to the rescue.

  1. Where/When: from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
    Why go: Come one, come all to the first ever Seriously Silly Circus & Street Fair. Trapeze artists and clowns from Cirque du Soleil, Ringling Brothers, and Circus Smirkus will dazzle kids young and old with death-defying feats, daring stunts and side-splitting comedy. But, it's not just a circus, the DCD Street Fair will be in full swing with games and amusement rides and lots of good food and fun! All proceeds from the Circus and Street Fair support DCD's Financial Aid Fund.
    Price: $12

  • Where/When: McDonald Square and Sprague Street starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
    Why go: Help spruce up the Manor with Dedham Civic Pride as they work to pick-up trash from all over Dedham. Please bring a rake, a shovel and work gloves. If you aren’t able to assist with this clean up, please take the time to pick up any trash or leaves that maybe on your road. 
    Price: Free 

  • Tim Curry Solo Acoustic Performance
    Where/When:  on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
    Why go: Take in great cover songs from the  while enjoying a couple drinks at the Manor. He plays a mix of classic rock and blues.
    Price: Depends on your drinking habits 

  • Earthfest Block Party
    Where/When:
    in Dedham on Saturday at 10 a.m.
    Why go:
    the free festival is a family-friendly celebration for the Earth, showcasing national and local music acts, environmentally-friendly products and local non-profit environmental organizations 
    Price: Free 

  • Kids Craft Class
    Where/When:
    on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
    Why go: Each week Eileen Kelly and Sheep Skate offer kids a new craft project, but the one constant is fun! Ages 8 and above are welcome.
