DEDHAM, MA — One lucky Massachusetts Lottery player won a large prize after buying a ticket this week.
A winning $100,000 ticket was purchased at Mimi's II News, at 7 Eastern Ave. in Dedham on Monday. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Mass Cash" game.
To win, a player must match three or more of their five chosen numbers to the numbers drawn. If a player matches all five numbers, they win the game's top prize of $100,000.
The probability of winning a prize that large from the Mass Cash game is one in 324,632, according to the State Lottery. Mass Cash drawings occur daily.
The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but retailers that sell a winning ticket typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.
Another lottery prize was sold in Dedham on Monday. A winning $1,000 ticket was sold at the Gulf Service Center.
The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a daily list of winning tickets sold statewide on its website. You can find it here.
