Assault and Battery, Larceny, and More: Dedham Police Log

April 20

5:04 p.m. - Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at Best Buy on Route 1. Police say the suspect took a set of Beats headphones and three Amazon Fire TV sticks. The suspect, Tracy Parks, 52, was placed under arrest but then allegedly became upset and would not cooperate with police requests. The suspect eventually stopped struggling and was cooperative at the police station. She faces charges of shoplifting and resisting arrest.

April 22

11:43 a.m. - A car crash was reported on Route 1. One person was transported to the hospital with possible injuries.

9:59 p.m. - An assault was reported at Veterans Road. The victim said she was in an apartment when the suspect began to say things to her. After an argument, the suspect threw a punch at the victim and threw the glass lid of a pot at her. A hearing for charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery was set up at Dedham District Court.

April 23

5:44 p.m. - A stolen PlayStation 4 was reported at Best Buy. Police issued a summons to a woman for larceny over $250. The woman allegedly called later and threatened a store employee. Police advised the employee to call them if he received more calls or if he felt unsafe leaving work.
