Avery School PTO joins Dedham Civic Pride's Sponsor-A-Spot
Joining other businesses and organization supporting Dedham Civic Pride, the PTO site is on Milton Street a short distance from the school.
The Avery School PTO has joined the Dedham Civic Pride Sponsor-A-Spot program claiming the tulip filled island on Milton street just a short distance from the school. The sign designating their spot was installed amid the blooming tulips.
Other Sponsor-A-Spot sites received some repair work from close encounters with traffic. One of the signs for the Dedham Junior Women's Club site, also on Milton Street was replaced when its legs were snapped. Over in Riverdale the spot sponsored by Vogt Real Estate had to be replanted when a vehicle drove over some of the plants. The Friends of Dedham Civic Pride landscape staff worked on the site for two days adding new plants and mulch.
Sponsor-A-Spot is Civic Pride largest and most visible program with sponsorship fees from businesses and organizations underwriting a small fraction of the total cost of maintaining the sites. Currently Dedham Civic maintains 68 sites throughout the town. There are a few sites without sponsors in East Dedham.
