Bail Reduction Denied For Suspect In Fatal Dedham Robbery
Nicholas Durfee, 36, remains held on $100,000 bail.

DEDHAM, MA — A Roslindale man charged in a violent home invasion will remain held on bail.
Nicholas Durfee, 36, recently had his appeal for a bail reduction denied by a Norfolk Superior Court judge. On Oct. 19, his attorney argued that Durfee did not have any income or funds to post the $100,000 bail he was ordered held on by a Dedham District Court judge, with the denial coming Oct. 25.
On May 27, 2016, Durfee allegedly broke into the Upland Road home of an 89-year-old man. After the incident, the injured resident managed to gain the attention of two people passing by and asked them to contact police. Prosecutors say the victim died from injuries sustained in the robbery
