Blue Bunny and Mocha Java Extending Hours for Music and More

Changes are coming to the Blue Bunny and Mocha Java and it's all for the better.

DEDHAM, MA — Changes are coming to the Blue Bunny and Mocha Java and it's all for the better.

With business doing well and customers disappointed that closing time is at 6 p.m. on most days, owner Peter Reynolds told the selectmen Thursday night that they are seeking to remain open during the evening.

"We've been busy and we've had a lot of people asking us if we could extend our hours. We lock the door at six but many days we're locking the doors and they ask, 'you still open?'" Reynolds said. "I think a lot of things are happening in Dedham Square and the investment is paying off."

With a desire to bring music and more to his store, the selectmen approved a request for an entertainment license. In addition to live music, Reynolds said he is considering holding game nights and evenings dedicated to a popular show such as Seinfeld or Game of Thrones.

"With the cafe, we have adults coming in and we're interested in entertaining all of them. Whether it's coffee, books, or music," Reynolds said.
