Throughout its 250 years of history, America has been blessed with great poets, whose prophetic voices have inspired us to seek “the better angels of our nature.” The works on our program feature the words of Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes, set to dramatic and lyrical music by American composers, including Howard Hanson, Ola Gjeilo, and John Michael Trotta, and accompanied by an ensemble of piano, strings and percussion. To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, “the mystic chords…will yet swell the chorus.”

Spring Speaker Series, April: Eyewitness to the RevolutionSpeaker David Wood, Chief Curator at the Concord Museum, and author of the book Eyewitness to Revolution, will speak about the extraordinary collection of Revolutionary War material in their collection, dating from 1760 to 1790. David will discuss objects dating from 1760 to 1775 pertaining to the lead-up to the conflict, and another group dating from 1775 to 1790 that are associated with events from the Siege of Boston to just past the end of the Revolutionary War.Free to members, $10 for non-members (pay at the door).This talk will be preceded at 6:30 by the Museum's Annual Meeting.

Dedham Community House Summer Camp: A Summer Kids Look Forward To Dedham Community House Summer Camp sits in the heart of Dedham and has served local families for more than 100 years. We offer a full-day program for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each day is active, varied, and fun.
