The Friends of the Dedham Library will be holding its June Book Sale at the Main Branch of the Library, 43 Church Street, on Friday, June 12 from 2:00-4:00 pm and on Saturday, June 13 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The sale will include books on a variety of different subjects including biographies, self-help, gardening, crafts, fiction and non-fiction, children's books, and a limited supply of CD’s and DVDs.
Books are at bargain basement prices. Children’s and mass market paperbacks are $1.00 each; hardcover, young adult and trade paperbacks are $2.00 each and CD’s and DVDs are $2.00 each. Specials are priced as marked. Payment for purchases can be made in cash, check or Venmo only. No credit cards accepted.
Proceeds from the book sale help to support the Library Museum Pass Program and donations made to the library from The Friends. Recently the Friends made a monetary donation to the Library of Things that will be expanding at the library. A Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional items—such as tools, electronics, kitchen gadgets, and recreational gear—that can be borrowed with a library card, just like books. It allows communities to save money, avoid storing rarely used objects, and reduce waste.
