Dedham Candlelight Fire Sends Person to Hospital
The Dedham Fire Department responded to the bedroom blaze Monday night.

DEDHAM, MA — A fire caused by a candle resulted in a response from the Dedham Fire Department Monday night.
At about 9:24 p.m., Dedham fire responded to a report of a fire in a bedroom of a Sanderson Avenue home. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire caused by a candlelight on the first floor. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by 9:27 p.m. One person was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation, Dedham fire said.
Following the fire, the Dedham Fire Department posted a warning and safety tips for those using candles.
