with an Indies First Storytime at The Blue Bunny


Independent bookstores across the country are celebrating Children’s

Book Week with storytime visits from authors and illustrators on

Saturday May 17th. Our National Ambassador for Young People’s

Literature, Kate DiCamillo, is spearheading this initiative, asking authors and illustrators to visit
their local indie bookstore and read a story that they didn’t write.

The
Blue Bunny is pleased to welcome children’s picture book author and
illustrator Scott Magoon and middle-grade novelist Erin Dionne to join
our proprietor Peter H. Reynolds, to read from each other’s works, do
drawing demos, Q and A’s, and an interactive art project, before
signing books.

Scott will be bringing along his newest picture book,
Breathe, Erin will be bringing Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking, and
Peter will be sharing his latest book Going Places. All are welcome to
attend this author-palooza! FREE!
