Chick-fil-A Fanatics Come Out For Grand Opening
The chicken sandwich restaurant is opening their Dedham location Thursday morning.

DEDHAM, MA — There are people who like Chick-fil-A, and then there are people who really love Chick-fil-A so much that they'll camp outside for it.
The restaurant known for their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries opened their Dedham location on Route 1 Thursday morning. As part of the promotion, the company offered free Chick-fil-A for a year for the first 100 people to camp outside in anticipation for the opening.
Wednesday afternoon, about a dozen chicken sandwich fanatics waited for the opening, passing time by playing games, taking their best shot at Jenga, and relaxing in one of the tents set up outside in the parking lot. By the evening, tents surrounded the front and side of the property.

"We're really big fans and anytime there is a new restaurant it's great. Its nice to have one that's local," Merchant said.

The waiting group also took time to make 10,000 meals which will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank by Chick-fil-A and the charity Feeding Children Everywhere.
