Coronavirus: Dedham Reports 36 Positive Cases
The shelter in place order was extended and non-essential businesses, parks, playgrounds, fields and basketball courts will be closed.
DEDHAM, MA — Dedham reported 36 positive cases of the new coronavirus in town on Thursday. Dedham’s Public Health Nurse maintains daily surveillance and monitoring of the virus in the community.
In accordance with the Governor’s executive order, the Dedham Board of Health voted to extend the shelter in place order, and continued closure of non-essential businesses, parks, playgrounds, fields, basketball courts and baseball diamonds until at least May 4.
There have been 7,738 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts as of Wednesday. Governor Charlie Baker said this week a surge of coronavirus patients is expected April 7-17.
