Man ID'd In Fatal Pedestrian Hit In Dedham
The Dover man died of his injuries in the hospital.
DEDHAM, MA — A married couple was hospitalized on Thursday night and the husband died of his injuries after they were hit by a car on Route 109 in Dedham. The man was identified as Bijan Ghayour, 72, of Dover.
Fire officials received a call at 8:05 p.m. on Thursday about two pedestrians hit by a car in front of the Brick Street Cafe. Fire officials said the car stayed at the scene. The man was unconscious in the road and a bystander was performing CPR on him, officials said.
The man was taken to Beth Israel Hospital but did not survive his injuries, officials said.

According to Dedham fire officials, the woman was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital with lower-body injuries but officials said she was conscious and alert.
The driver refused treatment. The crash is under investigation.
