Dating and The Changing Family After Separation/Divorce: The Process and Practical Tips

The Divorce Center, a non-profit organization of
professionals from multiple disciplines providing support and education for people
going through separation or divorce, is offering this advanced parenting course
to separating and divorcing parents as a follow-up to the court-mandated

“Parents Apart” program. The four-hour program is
being offered over two nights, June 23 and 30, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  
Presented
by family therapists and mental health professionals, the program addresses
issues and answers questions arising in a family altered by divorce: 
-How do I know if I am ready to date?
-Do I tell the other parent? And if so, when?
-What are the dos and don’ts of dating after divorce?
-How can we help our children adjust to our changing relationship?
-How should we handle discipline of our children?

The speakers include:

  • Judy Osborne, MA, a licensed marriage and
    family therapist, mental health counselor, and group psychotherapist, and the
    director of Stepfamily Associates in Brookline, MA
  • David Seaquist, PhD., a psychologist with a
    private practice serving the Metrowest and Greater Boston area.

  • The fee for the two-night program
