Decision on Next Dedham Middle School Principal Expected Soon

DEDHAM, MA — Four finalists remain in the search for the next Dedham Middle School principal.

The finalists were chosen from a field of 19 candidates by a 13-person search committee. In a letter to parents, Superintendent Michael Welch said the process moved very smoothly and is optimistic that the school will have a new permanent principal in a few weeks. The school had an interim principal this year due to the resignation and reassignment of former Principal Debra Gately.

In his March 21 update to parents, Welch said he expects to made a decision on who will be the principal soon.
