Massachusetts State Police and Dedham police launched a search for several suspects.
DEDHAM, MA — State and local police are still looking for suspects in an armed robbery following a high-speed chase Friday afternoon. Dedham police called for residents to shelter in place for an hour then allowed them back out of their houses. Police said they believed the suspects left the area.
The investigation was centered near Violet and Commonwealth avenues, where the suspects reportedly ditched a car. State police brought in K-9 units and deployed its Air Wing for the search.
Boston, Dedham and state police all stayed in the area after the shelter-in-place was lifted to investigate. A private school in the area, Ursuline Academy, ordered students and staff to shelter in place and lifted it soon after police issued the all-clear. Students were expected home at 2:44 p.m.
