Dedham Coffee Roaster Works With CA Company On Instant Coffee

DEDHAM, MA — Fans of Fazenda Coffee, with it's roastery located in Dedham, have good news to look forward to in 2020 — the local roasters are introducing their own brand of instant coffee. Customers will be able to drink a cup of Fazenda coffee from the comfort of their homes and on the go in minutes. To make the new brand possible, the Dedham roasters teamed up with California coffee company, Sudden Coffee.

Sudden Coffee, based in San Fransisco, focuses on specialty “crystallized coffee. The new brand, Fazenda Instant, is made with a "revolutionary method," never before used to make instant coffee. The coffee is brewed much more gently - like a pour-over, frozen, then placed into a vacuum chamber to crystallize.

The taste is said to capture complex, fruity flavor notes without the bitterness ‘old school’ instant is known for. Fazenda Instant is currently available in a medium roasted Guatemala Perla Negra. It is grown in the mountains of Chiquimula and Zacapa.

“We wanted to create an Instant coffee that people would actually enjoy drinking,” said Fazenda Founder and CEO Philip Schein. “Fazenda Instant fills a need for consumers that are looking for the convenience of instant coffee but do not want to sacrifice quality, and we are excited to introduce just that.”

Fazenda kept with it's environmentally friendly brand. The product tubes, caps, and boxes are recyclable and, as always, the roast is responsibly sourced.
