Dedham Down In Statewide School District Rankings

DEDHAM, MA — School Digger, a nationwide school rankings site, released its updated list of top Massachusetts schools and school districts Thursday, and the Dedham Public School System was ranked lower than it was a year ago. In the new rankings, which were based partially on MCAS test data the state released last week, Dedham was 148th, down from 107th a year ago.

The rankings mean Dedham performed better up than 55.7 percent of all other districts in the state. That's below the high water mark of 67.8 percent posted in 2016.

Thursday's School Digger release also showed how individual schools in the district compared to every other school in the state:

• Greenlodge Elementary, 248th of 934 elementary schools.
• Oakdale Elementary, 289th of 934 elementary schools.
• Riverdale Elementary, 410th of 934 elementary schools.
• Avery Elementary, 640th of 934 elementary schools.
• Dedham Middle School, 185th of 476 middle schools.
• Dedham High School, 92nd of 340 high schools.
