The DiPrete Engineering firm band played "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

DEDHAM, MA — DiPrete Engineering, a civil and environmental engineering and land surveying firm located in Dedham, put on a mini concert for employees, clients, friends, and community members to enjoy. The firm’s band, Civil Unrest, includes Emerson Torrey, Director of Information Technology; Brian Giroux, PE, Director of Engineering and Design/Project Manager; John Raymond, Civil/Survey Designer; Chris Ready, Chief Financial Officer; and Nick Kelling, EIT, Civil Engineer.

“It’s great to see our staff come together to put a smile on one another’s faces. We have a great team here at DiPrete,” said Dennis DiPrete, President of DiPrete Engineering. “We’ve been fortunate to be able to continue operating during these difficult times, but know it’s not been easy for everyone. It’s really a testament to our people and their positive attitudes and continued collaboration.”

The band chose to play “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival as they are all fans. The video features the band members along with a few ‘guest star’ dancers.

“We wanted to show people that even in these trying times; people can come together, virtually of course, and create something that brings joy to everyone,” said Kelling. “It is really great to be able to distract someone, even for a few short minutes, from all the craziness going on in the world and hopefully put a smile on their face.”

“We’ve played together in the past at company events and thought it would be fun to get together virtually and play something for our team, family, and friends,” added Giroux. “It went better than we could have expected and will continue creating videos to share with the community to uplift spirits.”
