Dedham to Get Second Starbucks

DEDHAM, MA — The Starbucks at the Dedham Mall is doing so well that the company is ready to open their second location in town.

Thursday night, the selectmen approved a common victualler license for the coffee shop's new location at 875 Providence Hwy. The store is across from Legacy Place on the property formerly occupied by Colpitts World Travel.

Dan Brennan, an attorney for Starbucks, said the new location will have seating for 20 and a drive-thru. They are scheduled to go in front of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the signage and menu board.

Selectman James MacDonald said he was recently in Seattle, telling the board that there was often a line to get into the original location.

"This has been a success at the Dedham Mall, so I’m sure this will be a success too," he said.
