Have you always wanted to grow your own food? Here is your chance! The Town of Dedham and Green City Growers are now offering courses focused on organic gardening in raised-beds. The raised beds are staggered at various heights, making it a pleasant experience for participants of all ages and abilities. Classes are held at the Dolan Recreation Center, 269 Common Street where Green City Growers horticulture professionals guide you through the progression of the garden, teaching you how to maintain and harvest successful crops that you get to keep! Skills and focuses include choosing the right location for your garden, choosing the right plants for your space, the difference between using seeds or transplants, organic pest and fungal management, organic fertilization, soil quality and much more!
