Dedham High School Listed Among Top 50 High Schools in Massachusetts

DEDHAM, MA — Dedham High School received a silver medal for being one the best high schools in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. News and World Report’s 2017 Best High Schools report.

Dedham placed 48th in the state and 1,130th nationally. Boston Latin School was named the top high school in Massachusetts.

The ranking was good enough to earn a medal award, which is given to 2,109 schools based on their highest college readiness scores.

These are Dedham's vital stats, according to the survey:

• 11:1 student-teacher ratio
• 41.4 college readiness score
• 62 percent participate in AP exams
• 56 percent pass AP exams
• 92 percent proficiency in math
• 96 percent proficiency in English
• 90 percent graduation rate
