Dedham High School to Join Tri-Valley League
The school will leave the Bay State Conference after the 2016-17 school year.
DEDHAM, MA - This September will be the start of Dedham High School's final year in the Bay State Conference.
Wednesday, the school was notified that they were accepted into the Tri-Valley League with a 10-0 vote. Dedham will leave the Bay State Conference after joining in 1958, according to ESPN Boston.
In April, the Dedham School Committee approved a move to the TVL. The move was largely motivated by enrollment numbers as Dedham was the smallest school in their current league.

“The Bay State Conference is an unbelievable athletics league it’s been great for decades, but I think it’s the students’ interest to move to a league that has schools with similar sizes,” School Committee Chairman Tom Ryan said in April.
The Tri-Valley League includes Norton, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medway, Bellingham, Ashland, Millis, Medfield, Westwood, and Dover-Sherborn.
