Dedham Library Has Digital Resources For Social Distancing

The Dedham Public Library is reminding residents they have digital and remote resources for residents social distancing.

The following was submitted by the Dedham Public Library as an announcement to residents during the coronavirus crisis. Public institutions and organizations can submit announcements to be published to samantha.mercado@patch.com.

The Dedham Public Library Staff is here for you! We know that during these uncertain times it’s difficult to have your library’s doors closed. That’s why we’ve worked hard to bring the library to you! The Dedham Public Library staff is working from home to answer your questions by email at DedhamIssue@minlib.net. We are also providing important links on our website, dedhamlibrary.com. You can look for daily story times on our Facebook page at 10:30 AM every weekday. We have a full slate of other programming for everyone to enjoy including journaling, board games, book making, art programs, organizing tips and more! Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more fun programs.

We also want to remind you of our plethora of digital resources that you can find right at dedhamlibrary.com. If you’re into movies, check out Kanopy which has apps for your phone and many smart TVs. Hoopla also provides movies but gives you access to music, eBooks and audiobooks too! OverDrive and the Libby app provide access to thousands of eBooks, audiobooks and digital magazines. Still looking to read the newspaper? You can read the Boston Globe online for free. Just click on the icon on the front page of our website. All you need to access these resources is a Dedham Public Library card. Don’t have one? Not to worry! You can sign up for an online card here: https://library.minlib.net/selfreg. We look forward to keeping you all company during this trying time and can’t wait to have you back in the library.
