Dedham Police Department Earns State Accreditation
The department was recently awarded the three-year accreditation.

DEDHAM, MA — The Dedham Police Department recently received state accreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, which means the police department has met standards in areas that include policy development, emergency response planning, training, communications, property and evidence handling, use of force, vehicular pursuit, prisoner transportation and holding facilities.
Dedham police said the accreditation program not only sets standards for the law enforcement professionals, but also for the delivery of police services to citizens of the Commonwealth.
The process began in May, when the department was assessed by a team of Commission-appointed assessors. The team found the department to be in compliance with all applicable standards for accreditation.
