Dedham Police Investigating Bank Robbery
Police are searching for a man who they say robbed Dedham Savings Bank earlier this month.

DEDHAM, MA — Police are searching for a man who robbed a local bank earlier this month.
On Sept. 14 at about 1:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to Dedham Savings Bank on Elm Street for a robbery. At the scene, a witness told police that a man approached the teller's window with a black plastic bag and a note that said to hand over the money quickly and quietly, along with a warning that he had a weapon. The suspect took an undisclosed sum of money and fled, but never showed a weapon, according to a police report.
The suspect is described as a man about 5'7" or 5'8" and about 30-40 years old. He wore a black shirt and sunglasses with gold frames and brown lenses, according to witness reports. On Mass. Most Wanted, he was described as having medium complexion, build, and height.

Video surveillance showed the suspect entering and leaving the bank from the Walgreens parking lot through the shrubs that separated the lots and was observed pulling his shirt sleeves over his hands while at the counter in an attempt to not leave fingerprints, according to the police report.
