Dedham Police Log: 4th Shoplifting Offense, OUI, and More

September 13
3:54 p.m. - Brett White, 28, was arrested on Eastern Avenue and charged with uttering a counterfeit note.
5:32 p.m. - Mary Sutton, 63, was arrested at T.J. Maxx at the Dedham Mall and charged with shoplifting (fourth offense), possession of burglary tools, and unlawful removal of a theft detection device. An associate told police that they saw Sutton enter the dressing room, head towards the jewelry counter, pick up a watch, go to the handbag section, cut off a sensor tag, and leave with the items. After she was detained by loss prevention, wire cutters were found in her possession.

9:48 p.m. - Barbara Corcoran, 65, was arrested on Route 1 and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

8:42 a.m. - A crash was reported near the Sunoco on Ames Street. While a vehicle was stopped at a traffic light, another vehicle came from behind at a high rate of speed, turned to avoid the first vehicle, and flipped onto its passenger side. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital.
